How to reach Lille

Lille Airport, also known as Lille-Lesquin Airport (LIL), is an international airport located approximately 10 kilometres southeast of Lille city centre in Lesquin, France. It serves as a gateway to the Hauts-de-France region and offers both domestic and international flights. Lille Airport has its own direct bus service, the Flibco shuttle bus (https://www.flibco.com/en) , which connects it with the bus station on the Boulevard de Turin in 20 minutes.

If you arrive at the Brussels airports, Flibco (https://www.flibco.com/en) also provides shuttle services from Brussels Charleroi (1h45) and Brussels Zaventem (1h30) airports to Lille.

Lille is the only city in France to have 2 train stations so close together (500 meters): the Lille-Flandres station and the Lille-Europe station. Located right in the city center, they are directly served by metro, streetcar and bus.

OUIGO (https://www.ouigo.com/en) offers cheap trains from several major French cities to Lille-Flandres, Lille-Europe and Tourcoing station, located 30 minutes from Lille by public transport.

Bus companies operate to Lille from many cities in France and Europe. The advantage of this mode of transport is its very low cost. The Lille bus station is on Boulevard de Turin, near the Lille-Europe train station.

Lille is linked to major cities in the Hauts-de-France region and Europe via an extensive motorway network. In the Nord region, freeways are free of charge. Take the A1, A22, A23, A25 and A28 to Lille. The Crit’Air sticker is compulsory for driving in Lille only during pollution peaks. During these periods, stickers 5 and 4 are prohibited.

The SNCF train station at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport provides a direct link to Lille-Flandres and Lille-Europe train stations. The journey time is approximately 48 minutes. The Lille Metro is a driverless light metro system which has two lines that serve 60 stations, and runs over 45 kilometres.

The system forms part of a multi-modal public transport system covering the Lille metropolitan area, along with the buses and trams, operated under the Ilevia brand (https://www.ilevia.fr)

From Lille city centre you can take the M1 metro line to Cité Scientifique Pr Gabillard, which is the closest metro station to the venue.
